Alright lets just get this out of the way.

Thu Nov 6, 2008, 12:45 PM
This is bugging the crap out of me every which way I look so im just going to say it.

I am a republican, I was pro McCain and yes I am displeased with the election... im not devsitated or fleeing the country like many people expect me to be.... just displeased.

Speaking towards all you Obama fans out there, you can go ahead and celebrate but the last thing any of us want to see is finger pointing. Don't mock us because we lost... don't mock us because of our ideas and views... and (God forbid) don't make accusations of racism...

I vote in what I believe in, there's nothing wrong with that. THERE IS something wrong with degrading someone for what they believe in.

I didn't agree completely with McCain but I agreed less with Obama so I simply went with the lesser of two evils (in my own opinion and standpoint)Im significantly pro-life which is why I could only find myself in favor of McCain.

I do not want to force my views on you all. I know your probably great people and my beef right now is not with the election but the ignorance and arrogence of the attitudes that a select few people have shown to me.

Put simply... you don't have to be an ass just because you won. Please... just be respecful.

Why can't more people have that kind of standpoint. For example, I was for Obama, but I'm not going to rub it in, nor am I going to gouge you for your beliefs and opinions. It doesn't bother me that your position is different than mine, in fact, I think haveing a different standpoint is more of a positive thing, since we can look at issues from both sides.

But, from my experiance with humanity, they prefer to simply butt heads, rather than consider things thoughtfully. In this, I am officially on neither side of the coin, since I prefer not to affiliate myself with those people who like to put others down, simply for losing.

Personally, I'm just glad this is all done with so we can move on. I'm just tired of political crap floating around...

Amen. I know McCain personally, and he's a great guy, but I don't think he would have been anything special as President.
And Sarah Palin. Ewww...

I disagree with Obama. I think it's ridiculous how much money he spent bashing McCain, I don't approve of the people he's associated with, and I think his tax plan is ridiculous. I can't do anything about that now, though. I've come to terms with it. If he turns this country around, great.

Well, that's the beauty of democracy. Everyone can express their own opinion and point of view.

My personal opinion, I wasn't crazy about the election until I learned more about Obama and then I became very VERY pro-Obama. I honestly don't understand why people are against him, unless your family makes over 250,000 a year, he won't raise your taxes. He is just taking money from people who are either not even using it or wasting it on luxury. We could be doing better things with that money like investing in new energy and stronger programs for working class people who want to send their kids to college and help them retire one day.

My strong beleif is that we were put on this planet to take responsibility for eachother. The minute somebody says "not my problem" it screws everybody over.

But again, can somebody tell me, what do people think they are going to get from defending rich people who don't even care about them? Not trying to be a dick, I respect people's opinions, but I must be missing something if people are still defending the rich after an offer like the one obama made.

I hear you on this. While the elections were going on a "friend" texted me saying "HAHA Obama is winning". Like, thanks a lot. The next morning I replied and said "Did you vote?" She said "No, I was busy and didn't have a chance too"
